Ok i lied about having the STP #2 up this weekend, i've been too lazy to finish the translation...

Heres a random thought though:

sooooooo McDonalds charges 1.39 for a McDouble, and 1.34 for a Cheeseburger....

The difference between a McDouble and a Cheeseburger is .... 1 patty

Thats right, 5cents, 1 patty...

i wonder if i can get them to put more patties on the burger, for 5cents each!

Just talked to a friend working in the states...
Down in her town, a Mcdouble is 1.06, and a cheeseburger is... 1.26

Hey, i'd love to pay 20cents MORE to get 1 LESS patty on my burger!

Ok, this is my next song... but i dont have time to translate it yet, I hope to get that done tmr night, or before this week is over...

Anyways, this is a song by a new Taiwanese Artist, Rachel. She participated in the Taiwan equivalent of American Idol and was second place (I believe)

I really cant say this is my favourite song, but it is up there, but I can say that the MV is my favourite, so i'm going to share the MV too...

Random Thoughts #1: On Changing rooms

Disclaimer:
This post will mention homosexuality, and part of my opinion on it, if you don't like it, dont read it...

This is not about discrimination, however, being homosexual is, IMO, a lifestyle choice, one that i do not agree with, but it is out there. We can talk about it in another post...

So today at work, my mind wandered off, like usual...
Then i 'discovered' a huge oversight in changing room design in most public venues, such as swimming pools and the like...

Homosexual individuals are allowed in the same gender changing rooms!

In my mind, it is like allowing a heteralsexual individual going into the changing room of the opposite gender...

If myself, a straight man, is not allowed into the ladies changing room, I do not think a homosexual man should be allowed into the men's changing room...

So do the homosexual person go into the changing room of the opposite gender?
No... that'll open up too many oppotunities for abuse... Just imagin all the straight men claiming to be homosexual just so they can go into the ladies changing room...

Another way i thought of is private changing rooms for everyone... but this is so impractical! Imagin the cost...

Anyone have a good way to solve this problem? (not that i actually expect anyone to read this)

STP #1: 伍思凱 分享

I guess, one of the reason why I had this blog in mind... was that I wanted to undertake a project... I'm just gonna call it the "Song Translation Project", STP for short.
What I wanted to do is that I want to translate the lyrics of Chinese (especially Mandarin) songs that I like into English, just as a goal to share it with more people. I dont know if there are such projects that other people are undertaking...
I'm not saying i'm any good at translating these kind of stuff, but I'll try
I will attempt to stay true to the message that the songs try to deliever, while trying to keep it in the same rhythem as the song so it can be sung, however, since i'm not trained musically or anything... most likely they cannot be sung well using translated lyrics... oh well, enjoy it, I enjoyed translating it!

Yes... I have decided to start a blog... why?
I guess i want it to be a place where i can keep a journal type thing (unless it's a private issue, then i wont put it here)...
Secondly, I want to post some music that I like, and lyrics, and possible translating of lyrics...
Thirdly, sometimes one just needs to vent? hahaha

Anyhow, i dont think anyone would actively find my blog anyways... so all this is for myself!
